Background
As a senior designer at Adventus.io, I worked on a project addressing the underutilisation of the Course Search feature in the recruiter platform. Adventus.io is a B2B2C SaaS-based marketplace for institutions, recruiters, and international students. The business was scaling up and expanding its services to institutions, so the app’s ability to help recruiters source suitable courses for their students, was vital.

Challenge
User research reveals a key insight: our B2B recruiters use a variety of tools from different companies, yet still consider Adventus’ course search tool indispensable.
Nevertheless, there are serious usability and technical issues that need to be addressed.
Solution
The result: a unique search landing page that allows recruiters to instantly view course search results upon registering a student. The page also offers convenient filtering and sorting of student-relevant information, comparing courses, shortlisting, sharing search results and easy application - features that set Adventus.io apart from the competition.
Outcome
The rate of application lodgement to offer from institutions increases dramatically, reaching 70.65% for a quarter. This encourages recruiters to add students earlier and sparks a significant increase in search function use. Furthermore, course search results are now better targeted and more relevant, saving recruiters time and effort.
